Job summary

Chervon Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced State Manager for Queensland and the Northern Territory to lead sales growth, engage customers and drive team performance. You will maximise territory coverage, manage key accounts, and collaborate with internal teams to execute strategic plans.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience in hardware, power tools, trade or retail sectors.
  • Proven track record leading teams and delivering sales growth.
  • Strong experience managing key accounts and strategic relationships.
  • Ability to analyse performance data and translate into outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Queensland and Northern Territory sales team to maximise coverage and performance.
  • Achieve state sales budgets and manage expenses effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors and partners.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for market growth.
  • Manage the Trade Tools Queensland account including planning, promotions and training.
  • Collaborate with head office and internal teams on strategy and execution.
  • Forecast, report and analyse business performance; identify opportunities.
  • Drive product launches, campaigns and customer events in the region.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused State Manager - QLD / NT to lead sales growth, customer engagement and team performance across Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Queensland and Northern Territory sales team to maximise territory coverage, customer service and sales performance.
  • Achieve state sales budgets and manage expenses effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors and industry partners.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to deliver sustainable market share growth.
  • Manage the Trade Tools Queensland account, including account planning, sales performance, ranging, promotions, merchandising and training initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with Trade Tools stakeholders, including head office contacts, store owners, store managers and buyers.
  • Analyse sales data, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and recommend strategic actions.
  • Drive the execution of product launches, promotional campaigns, trade nights and customer events.
  • Ensure effective implementation of sales, marketing and product training programs across the region.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM reporting and business performance analysis.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Marketing, Product, Customer Service, Operations and Finance.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years' sales leadership experience, ideally within the hardware, power tools, trade or specialist retail sectors.
  • Proven success leading teams and delivering consistent sales growth.
  • Strong experience managing key accounts and strategic customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience developing and executing business plans.
  • Highly organised with strong planning, forecasting and reporting capabilities.
  • Business, Marketing or related tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Australian work rights and a valid driver's license are required.
