Job summary

Bega Cheese Group is seeking a State Logistics Manager to lead the Victoria and Tasmania teams, shaping the strategic direction of the logistics network and delivering safe, efficient warehouse services and product delivery.

This newly created role requires hands-on leadership across in-house and 3PL facilities, with travel regionally within Victoria and Tasmania, and interaction with freight partners to drive cost, quality and service objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, complex large scale logistics environment preferable in FMCG
• Demonstrated leadership effectiveness in developing people and managing team performance
• A proven track record in managing 3PL contracts for multiple sites to achieve company goals
• Experience managing end to end logistics – warehousing and freight
• Exposure to managing multi-million dollar operational budget and managing around 200 dedicated warehousing FTEs

Responsibilities

• Management of the state's logistics operations and service providers from finished goods through to customer
• Coach, motivate and create an environment where team members excel to work collectively as a high-performance team to achieve the strategic and agreed performance objectives
• Hands on and lead from the front, demonstrating personal commitment to change to engage with our company values and culture
• Delivering operational cost, quality and service objectives
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes, operational efficiency and service to customers
• Continually drive an interdependent safety culture
