Job summary

Lactalis-Mainland Dairy in Stanhope, Victoria, is seeking a Regional Logistics Manager to lead Farm Milk Collection across the Northern Victoria Region. You will oversee end-to-end planning, scheduling, and execution of milk collection with company-owned fleets and trusted transport partners, delivering safe, compliant and cost-efficient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and people leadership.
• Experience with scheduling systems for complex logistics networks.
• Experience with Integrated Work Systems (IWS) or similar continuous improvement system.
• Strong, positive people leadership and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills, underpinned by strong ethics and values.
• Strong financial acumen, excellent organisational skills, intermediate computer skills.
• A degree qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide regional leadership, governance and accountability for farm milk collection outcomes, embedding operational excellence across safety, quality, compliance and cost.
• Own the regional fleet and labour strategy, aligned to milk intake profiles and seasonal variability, ensuring effective use of company-owned and third-party collection assets.
• Set clear performance standards for tanker operations, driver capability and contractor performance, and act as the senior escalation point for farm milk collection issues.
• Ensure compliance with heavy vehicle legislation and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations, including permits and emerging regulatory requirements.
• Partner with the Milk Sourcing Service Centre (MSSC), scheduling teams and transport providers to plan, escalation and resolve operational risks affecting milk collection.
• Develop leadership capability across geographically dispersed teams, including succession planning for critical operational roles.
• Lead health and safety activities, including hazard identification, risk assessments, incident management and injury management.
