Job summary

CommBank is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of customer-focused digital experiences at scale in Australia. You will influence technical strategy while mentoring engineers and uplift engineering capability, and you will build cloud-native solutions using modern technologies including .NET, AWS, React and Angular.

Qualifications

Extensive software engineering experience building enterprise applications using .NET, .NET Core, C#, REST APIs and microservices.
Cloud engineering capability with experience delivering solutions on AWS.
Experience developing modern web applications using Angular, React or similar front-end frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development and delivery of scalable, secure and reliable software solutions.
Drive technical excellence through solution design, architecture decisions and engineering best practice.
Mentor and coach engineers, helping to build a strong engineering culture and capability across the team.
Partner with Product Owners, Crew Tech Leads and stakeholders to balance customer outcomes, technology strategy and delivery priorities.
Champion DevSecOps, full-cycle ownership and automation across the software development lifecycle.
