Job summary

Gridsight seeks a Staff Engineer for its Infrastructure Platform to own end-to-end platform work across product teams. You will shape the technical direction, own a multi-tenant, multi-region infra, and help drive reliability, security and developer experience.

You’ll be the first IC on the team, collaborating with leadership to grow the platform as a product. You’ll lead observability, CI/CD, and IaC efforts, set SLOs, incident response practices and SOC 2 alignment, while mentoring engineers

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software eng, with recent Staff level work in platform or SRE.
• Strong track record building production cloud infra with IaC.
• Experience delivering observability platforms used by multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end platform initiatives across teams, setting direction.
• Develop and run observability, metrics, tracing, logging and alerting.
• Evolve deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and release processes.
• Design secure, multi-region, cost-conscious infra with SOC 2 controls.
• Define SLOs, error budgets and incident response playbooks.
• Improve developer experience by creating self-serve tooling and docs.
• Mentor engineers and steer platform as a product, with clear interfaces.
