Job summary

PBT Group is seeking a seasoned Data Specialist to join our team in Australia as a Microsoft SQL Data Engineer / ETL Developer. You will shape data solutions, build end-to-end data pipelines, and mentor teammates in BI and ETL practices.

Responsibilities include analyzing complex requirements, designing scalable data models, and delivering high-quality data integration projects across our global clients. On-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in SSIS and SSRS.
• Requirement analysis and database design.
• Knowledge of source systems and dimensional data models.
• Database and data warehouse modeling.
• Programming experience in languages for data staging and ETL development.
• Deep understanding of SQL and ETL tool capabilities.
• Attention to detail and pride in work.
• ETL and BI solution training.
• A B.Sc. or related degree is advantageous.
• 2+ years of programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data integration solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on analysis and design.
• Develop and optimize high-complexity ETL programs.
• Conduct quality reviews and walkthroughs of deliverables.
• Design and develop data pipelines for data warehouses and data marts.
• Provide guidance and mentorship in BI and ETL processes.
• Establish standards for data acquisition development.
• Create and execute complex ETL routines in line with policies.
