Job summary

Austek Roads (ACT) is seeking a full-time Spreader Truck Driver to join our team in Hume, ACT. You will safely operate heavy vehicles and equipment, perform pre-operational checks, and follow directions from the site leadership to ensure quality roadworks.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s licence HC/HR and ability to obtain construction certifications.
• Experience with Asphalt/Seal or roadworks.
• White card.
• Silica and Asbestos awareness training.
• Proficient in the operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the crew.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Follow direction of Crew leader, site foreperson, project manager and other senior managers
• Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we\'re looking for

• Current driver's licence (HC/HR) and ability to obtain necessary construction certifications
• Asphalt/Seal or roadworks exp
• White card
• Silica and Asbestos awareness training
• Proficient in the operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
