Austek Roads ACT is seeking a skilled full-time Spreader Truck Driver to join our team in Hume, ACT. You will operate heavy vehicles and equipment, perform pre-start checks, and support the construction crew with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What you\'ll be doing

• Safely operate heavy vehicles, plant and equipment
• Follow direction of Crew leader, site foreperson, project manager and other senior managers
• Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we\'re looking for

• Current driver's licence (HC/HR) and ability to obtain necessary construction certifications
• Asphalt/Seal or roadworks exp
• White card
• Silica and Asbestos awareness training
• Proficient in the operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
