Job summary

Austek Roads (ACT) is seeking a skilled full-time Spreader Truck Driver to join our Hume team. You will safely operate heavy vehicles and equipment, follow directions from site leadership, and perform pre-operational checks to keep projects running smoothly.

Ideal candidates hold HC/HR license, White Card, and roadworks experience, with a focus on quality, safety, and teamwork. We offer competitive wages, training, company vehicles, and career progression in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Requires HC/HR driving license or ability to obtain
• Experience with asphalt/seal or roadworks is preferred
• White Card holds for construction sites
• Silica and asbestos awareness training is advantageous
• Proficient in operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality results
• Good communication and teamwork with construction crew
• Commitment to workplace health and safety practices

Austek Roads (ACT) are seeking a skilled full time Spreader Truck Driver to join our team in Hume, ACT.

What you'll be doing

• Safely operate heavy vehicles, plant and equipment
• Follow direction of Crew leader, site foreperson, project manager and other senior managers
• Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Current driver's licence (HC/HR) and ability to obtain necessary construction certifications
• Asphalt/Seal or roadworks exp
• White card
• Silica and Asbestos awareness training
• Proficient in the operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, quality results
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
