Job summary

Austek Roads (ACT) is seeking a full-time Spreader Truck Driver to join our team in Hume, ACT. Safely operate heavy vehicles and related equipment on road construction sites.

The role requires HC/HR licence, roadworks experience, white card, silica/asbestos awareness, and proficiency with bitumen spraying equipment. You'll work with the construction crew, follow site leadership, and uphold safety policies.

Qualifications

• Current HC/HR licence and ability to obtain construction certifications.
• Experience in asphalt/seal or roadworks.
• White card holder.
• Silica and asbestos awareness training.
• Proficient in operation and maintenance of bitumen spraying equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality results.
• Good teamwork and communication with the crew.
• Commitment to health and safety at work.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Follow direction of Crew leader, site foreperson, project manager and other senior managers.
• Perform pre-operational checks and maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Identify and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
