Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a Supervisor to lead spray sealing operations across regional NSW and Sydney from Rutherford/Newcastle. You will supervise crews, plan delivery, and ensure safety, quality and environmental standards are met on a range of projects.

The role offers opportunities to progress with a supportive team and exposure to diverse projects, while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with bituminous spray sealing operations and plant/equipment handling.
• Experience leading crews in civil construction, spray sealing, or road maintenance.
• Commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out job inspections and plan work delivery to achieve project targets and profitability.
• Lead work delivery crews and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Maximise equipment utilisation and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate with clients on requirements, expectations and delivery outcomes.

You'll work alongside experienced industry professionals, gain exposure to a diverse range of projects and play an important role in the successful delivery of our spray sealing program.You'll be empowered to make decisions, lead teams and drive performance, while being supported by a business that genuinely invests in its people and their development.In this role, you'll be responsible for:Carrying out job inspections and planning work delivery to achieve project and profitability targets while maintaining our HSEQ standardsLeading work delivery crews and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirementsIdentifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing corrective actions where requiredMaximising equipment utilisation and ensuring repairs and maintenance are completed effectively and efficientlyLiaising with clients regarding project requirements, expectations and delivery outcomesPlanning and managing onsite activities, including subcontractors and hired equipmentProviding effective leadership, mentoring and people management to field crewsEnsuring works are completed in line with contract specifications and tendered expectationsHow you'll connect to the role?To be successful in this role, you'll bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn, along with:Hands-on experience in bituminous spray sealing operations, including operation of plant and equipment and handling of raw materialsExperience providing spray seal solutions and technical advice that delivers value for customersDemonstrated experience leading crews within a civil construction, spray sealing, asphalt laying or road maintenance environmentAbility to travel and work away from home for extended periods when requiredStrong planning, communication and stakeholder management skillsA commitment to safety, quality and environmental excellenceCompletion of a recognised Leadership Training Course (preferred but not essential)Completion of AfPA Working Safely with Bitumen and Sprayed Sealing Selection and Design training (desirable)The pre-employment process will include a medical check, including drug and alcohol screening.Want to be rewarded for the good work you do?
