Job summary

RXI Group in Morgan Park, Queensland, is seeking a dedicated Spray Painter to join our manufacturing team. You will paint, prep and QA in-house manufactured toolboxes, service bodies, truck bodies and vehicle components, using 2K paint and various finishing techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience as a spray painter in automotive/industrial sectors preferred.
• Painting and surface preparation experience considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with airless spray guns, HVLP spray guns, or electrostatic painting.
• Knowledge of paints, coatings and surface preparation techniques.

Job description

This position is based at our rapidly expanding Manufacturing facility is based in Morgan Park, Qld, only 2 hours from Brisbane and 1 hour from Toowoomba. The expansion of our Morgan Park location will allow us to manufacture and supply to all national branches creating faster processes and the ability to scale up!

We have built a strong Team Culture and have a passion for the quality product we manufacture.

Hours of work - Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm and a half day Friday, 6:00am -12:00pm.

Up to 14 hours overtime available weekly, if desired by employee

Role

This role is for a Spray Painter, who has an interest in automotive / manufactured products. Working within a team and reporting directly to the Paint Team Leader, you will be required to paint, prep and QA our in- house manufactured products. These products include Toolboxes, Service Bodies, Truck Bodies, Vehicle Trays and an assortment of manufactured vehicle components. A keen eye for detail and desire for high quality finishes is a must.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Painting of jobs utilising 2K Paint
• Sanding and surface preparation of jobs
• Paint touch-up and QA

Requirements

• Report to Paint Team Leader with a Can-Do approach
• Have a positive attitude and work well within a team
• Understand and follow Safety Policies and Procedures
• The ability to work under pressure
• Reliability & punctuality

Qualifications & experience (Preferred but not essential)

• Experience as a spray painter (preferably in automotive, or industrial sectors).
• Painting and surface preparation experience an advantage
• Familiarity with airless spray guns, HVLP (high-volume, low-pressure) spray guns, or electrostatic painting.
• Knowledge of paint types, coatings, and surface preparation techniques.
