Job summary

Ability Action Australia, part of the MedHealth Group, is seeking a Speech Pathologist Team Leader to mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team delivering Speech Pathology services to NDIS participants across schools, homes and local communities.

You will lead clinically, support graduate clinicians, and ensure high-quality outcomes while navigating the needs of participants, families and local services in Australia.

Qualifications

  • Current SPA registration as a Speech Pathologist.
  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist beyond graduation (3 years minimum).
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capability to meet key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an allocated caseload and deliver therapeutic services in schools, homes and community.
  • Provide evidence-based Speech Pathology interventions to participants.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Mentor graduate and early career Speech Pathologists through supervision and development.
  • Support scheduling, referrals and workflow optimisation for clinicians.
  • Maintain awareness of NDIS legislation to ensure compliance.

  • Use clinical observations, standardised assessments and interpret findings to formulate treatment goalsunique to each participant
  • Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based and help participants get more out of life

Qualifications

To be considered suitable you will have:

  • Current registration SPA registration as a Speech Pathologist
  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist beyond graduation (3 years minimum)
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capability to meet key responsibilities
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
