Qualifications

  • Current Speech Pathology Australia membership (SPA).
  • Experience as a Speech Pathologist or Senior Speech Pathologist beyond graduation.
  • Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians.
  • Driver's license, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
  • Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
  • Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
  • Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant-centered goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.
  • Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals.
  • Support the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians.

As our #AAA team continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Taree region, depending on where you're based - work close to home!
