Job summary

Optimum Health Solutions is seeking a Speech Pathologist to work in Wollongong, NSW, with opportunities to specialise in dysphagia, AAC, or a broad adult and paediatric mix. Final-year students, new graduates and experienced clinicians are all welcome, with weekly mentoring for grads and pathways into senior, leadership or mentoring roles.

You will assess and diagnose communication disorders, provide interventions, and collaborate across clinics and schools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Pathology or currently completing final-year studies.
• SPA eligibility or CPSP status.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose communication disorders.
• Functional communication assessments.
• Speech, language and social communication interventions.
• Assess and manage swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).
• Design, trial and implement low and high-tech AAC devices.
• Development, implementation and review of evidence-based therapy plans.
• Parent, caregiver and stakeholder education.
• Collaborative care planning with Allied Health professionals, educators and medical practitioners.
• Community, clinic and school-based services.
