Job summary

Optimum Health Solutions in Sydney, NSW is seeking a Speech Pathologist to shape a caseload across communication disorders, dysphagia and AAC for adults and children. Final-year students, new graduates and experienced clinicians are welcome, with weekly mentoring and structured supervision from day one and clear pathways into senior clinical or mentoring roles. Location: Sylvania, NSW.

Employment type: fulltime. Caseload includes NDIS and disability-focused work in clinic and community settings.

Qualifications

Degree in Speech Pathology or final-year student
SPA eligibility or CPSP status
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
Working With Children Check and National Police Check

Responsibilities

Assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders
Functional communication assessments
Speech, language and social communication interventions
Assessment and management of swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)
Design, trial and implementation of low and high-tech AAC devices
Development, implementation and review of evidence-based therapy plans
Parent, caregiver and stakeholder education
Collaborative care planning with Allied Health professionals, educators and medical practitioners
Community, clinic and school-based services
