Job summary

Optimum Health Solutions is seeking a Speech Pathologist for Hobart, TAS. The role offers a full-time caseload spanning communication disorders, dysphagia and AAC, with input into specialization areas.

Final-year students, new graduates and experienced clinicians are all welcome, with mentoring and structured supervision from day one. You'll join a network of allied health professionals across NSW and Tasmania, providing community, clinic and school-based services.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Pathology, or currently completing final-year studies.
• SPA eligibility or CPSP status.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders.
• Functional communication assessments.
• Speech, language and social communication interventions.
• Assessment and management of swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).
• Design, trial and implementation of low and high-tech AAC devices.
• Development, implementation and review of evidence-based therapy plans.
• Parent, caregiver and stakeholder education.
• Collaborative care planning with Allied Health professionals, educators and medical practitioners.
• Community, clinic and school-based services.
