Job summary

Optimum Health Solutions in Hobart, TAS, is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You’ll work across assessment, dysphagia, AAC and communication disorders with both adult and paediatric caseloads, and receive mentoring as a new graduate or leadership pathways for experienced clinicians.

The role offers fulltime hours, travel across community and clinic settings, SPA eligibility or CPSP status, a driver's licence and access to a vehicle, and alignment with

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Pathology or currently completing final-year studies
• SPA eligibility or Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
• Working With Children Check and National Police Check
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Responsibilities

• Assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders
• Functional communication assessments
• Speech, language and social communication interventions
• Assessment and management of swallowing difficulties (dysphagia)
• Design, trial and implementation of low and high-tech AAC devices
• Development, implementation and review of evidence-based therapy plans
• Parent, caregiver and stakeholder education
• Collaborative care planning with Allied Health professionals, educators and medical practitioners
• Community, clinic and school-based services
