Gallagher Bassett is seeking a senior claims leader to deliver day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to the team, ensuring a cost-effective, professional, customer-focused service. The role emphasizes quality initiatives, continuous improvement, and strong relationship management.

You will oversee the Specialty Claims team and drive performance, recruitment, and staff development while maintaining compliance with state regulations and policies. Flexible work arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

7+ years in insurance with at least 3 years in a management capacity
Strong technical expertise in General Liability, Historic Abuse, and/or Professional Indemnity claims
Ability to build and develop client and service-provider relationships
Ability to comply with relevant state legislation
Insurance policy interpretation skills
Stakeholder management and communication skills
Commitment to quality and accuracy

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to the claims team
Oversee a hybrid portfolio including Medical Negligence, Historic Abuse and other claims
Drive cost effective, professional, customer-focused claims service
Lead quality assurance activities, audits, and data integrity improvements
Manage Tier 1 activities and continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee recruitment and staff development to maintain capability
