Job summary

Gallagher in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Technical Claims Lead - Liability to join our Claims team. You will lead and support the management of complex liability claims, collaborating with brokers, clients and insurers to drive outcomes and ensure best practice coverage.

This senior role includes mentoring and developing team members and providing technical guidance across claims matters. You will help deliver outstanding client outcomes on contentious claims, influence insurer performance

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing complex commercial or corporate claims.
• Strong technical claims management and advocacy capabilities.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to navigate and resolve complex or contentious matters.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience building effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management and advocacy of complex claims matters across a corporate client portfolio.
• Provide specialist claims advice to clients, brokers and claims colleagues.
• Interpret policy wording and claim circumstances to maximise coverage outcomes for clients.
• Liaise with clients, insurers and service providers to progress claims and resolve issues efficiently.
• Support brokers by providing technical expertise during new business opportunities, renewals and client discussions.
• Mentor and coach claims colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting capability development.
• Build strong relationships with branch leaders, brokers, insurers, loss adjusters and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to claims working groups, insurer performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
