Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Catholic or demonstrated commitment to Catholic education ethos.
• Qualifications to teach Religious Education or willingness to undertake study.
• Post-graduate studies in special/inclusive education or significant experience in a specialised setting.
• Understanding of curriculum frameworks and designing personalised learning adjustments.
• Collaborative curriculum planning for diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge of evidence-based positive behaviour support approaches.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to lead and mentor teaching colleagues and engage with families.

Responsibilities

• Establish a safe, inclusive learning environment with tailored supports.
• Collaborate with staff to plan and deliver personalised learning adjustments.
• Lead and mentor teaching colleagues, support staff, external health professionals, parents and carers.
• Implement evidence-based positive behaviour supports to foster a safe environment.
• Engage with parents and carers to support student wellbeing and learning.
