Job summary

IAG in Australia and New Zealand seeks a Specialist, Governance Enablement to shape data governance and technology risk across the enterprise. You’ll design and accelerate processes, controls and AI-enabled solutions that simplify compliance and scale governance across the organisation.

Join a team delivering governance at scale, influencing enterprise-wide risk outcomes while enabling strategic improvement across data, technology and risk disciplines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in governance, risk, or adjacent roles.
• Deep understanding of technology risk, data risk, and regulatory context.
• Strong ability to communicate with influence and simplify complex topics for senior audiences.
• Excellent written communication skills and problem solving.
• Tertiary qualification in technology or risk (e.g., data, technology, or risk).

Responsibilities

• Develop governance processes and tooling for data governance, cloud and AI adoption.
• Improve governance processes and tooling to drive efficiency and ease of use.
• Develop training material and contribute to the knowledge repository.
• Schedule, convene and facilitate governance committees.
• Review data requests to ensure customer data remains safe and secure.

What You’ll Do

Develop governance processes and supporting tooling for data governance, cloud and , AI adoption and technology ownership frameworks,

Continuously improve governance processes and tooling to drive efficiency and ease of use,

Develop training and guidance material and contribute to the knowledge repository

Schedule, convene and facilitate the running of key governance committees,, and

Review data requests to make sure our customer’s data remains safe and secure.

This is a permanent role and offer a flexible hybrid work model based near any of our major centres across Australia or New Zealand.

What You’ll Bring

8+ years’ experience in governance, risk, or adjacent roles, ideally within the financial services industry,

Deep understanding of relevant technology, data, and operational risk related regulation,

Deep understanding of technology, information security and data risk,

Strong outcome orientation,

Demonstrable ability to communicate with influence and simplify complex topics for a senior audience,

Good written communication skills, and

Tertiary qualifications in a technology discipline or relevant field (e.g., data, technology, or risk).
