Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Lifesaving Club is seeking a qualified Full-time Sous Chef to join our fast-paced team at the beachfront Currumbin venue. You will supervise kitchen staff, manage stock, plan menus and help meet departmental budgets while maintaining high service standards.

Experience in high-volume kitchens is advantageous and a Food Safety Supervisor certificate (HACCP) is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Sous Chef must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Supervisors certificate (HACCP).
• Relevant cookery qualification required.

Responsabilités

• Assist, supervise and train kitchen staff under the Head Chef.
• Assist with stock management and stock takes.
• Liaise with the Head Chef on daily/weekly requirements, menu planning and budgets.
• Prepare and present quality dishes within service standards.
• Handle all aspects of food preparation.
• Keep workstations clean and orderly.
• Rotate and manage stock correctly.
• Perform daily temperature checks of food storage.

We're currently on the lookout for a qualified and passionate Full-time Sous Chef and Casual Chefs to join our great team here at the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Lifesaving Club. We operate out of two venues and are located right on the beach in Currumbin!

The successful applicants will be looking at a 30-38 hour roster.

Variety of shifts - Lunch & Dinner shifts available with no split shifts

No Late Nights - our Kitchen closes at 8pm nightly

The role will include:

Sous Chef to assist, supervise and train kitchen staff under direction from the Head Chef.

Sous Chef to assist with stock management, wastage of products and stock takes as required.

Sous Chef to liaise with the Head Chef on a daily basis on weekly requirements, menu planning, maintaining & meeting departmental budgets and other duties.

Provide quality dishes which have been prepared, cooked and presented in accordance with the Supporters Clubs Service Standards within the appropriate time frames required.

All aspects of food preparation.

Ensure workstations and areas are kept clean at all times.

Pack away and rotate stock.

Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries.

The successful applicants will be reliable, energetic, have a 'can do' attitude, keen to join an amazing and fun team and can thrive while working at a fast pace.

Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen operation as a Grill Chef/Cook will be a major advantage to your application.

Sous Chef must have or be able to obtain a Food Safety Supervisors certificate (HACCP) and hold a relevant cookery qualification.
