Job summary

The Trustee for Daley & Younan Trust – Heidelberg VIC seeks a hands-on baker to support the production of sourdough breads and pastries. You will work closely with the Head Baker and Head Pastry chef to prepare and bake breads, croissants and pastries to a high standard.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of bakery experience, with a strong understanding of sourdough processes and excellent teamwork and time management abilities.

Qualifications

• 2 years+ experience in bakery production.
• Strong understanding of bread production and sourdough breads.
• Excellent team worker with strong communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the production and prep for the next day ahead.
• Maintaining freshness and stock level of goods.
• Upholding cleanliness of your section.
• Following production schedules and procedures.
• Preparation and rotation of ingredients for daily production.
• Other general duties as required such as cleaning.
• The work involve early morning starts and availability to work a seven days rotating roster.
