Job summary

Leigh Street Wine Room is an Adelaide-based venue seeking a hands-on manager who combines venue operations with sommelier duties. You will oversee daily service, wine selection, supplier relations and team performance to deliver exceptional hospitality.

The role requires leadership, strong wine knowledge (WSET 3 or equivalent), and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a dynamic dining environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in venue management or a senior supervisory role.
• Strong wine knowledge, with WSET 3 or equivalent.
• A calm, confident leader with excellent hospitality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Run daily service and venue operations.
• Wine ordering and cellar management; drinks list curation.
• Recruit, roster and train the team.
• Plan and organise special functions and events.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction.
• Forecast ordering requirements and maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with management to meet restaurant objectives.
