Job summary

Maestro Hospitality is seeking a Precinct Head Sommelier to oversee wine operations across a’Mare and Vista’Mare at Crown Sydney. Lead wine service, develop the wine program and deliver exceptional guest experiences alongside the Beverage Director and leadership team.

The role requires significant sommelier experience in premium settings, strong Italian wine knowledge, WSET Level 3 or equivalent, and the ability to train and elevate FOH teams. NSW RSA and Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Significant Sommelier experience in premium or fine-dining settings.
• Strong knowledge of Italian wines and culture.
• WSET Level 3 or equivalent wine qualifications or demonstrated industry knowledge.
• Confident discussing premium and approachable wines with guests.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Beverage Director across wine operations for two Crown Sydney venues.
• Deliver knowledgeable, engaging wine service across both venues.
• Provide wine recommendations and pairings aligned with menus and guest preferences.
• Develop, maintain and execute wine lists across the precinct.
• Drive wine sales through guest engagement and recommendations.
• Assist with wine ordering, stock control, cellar organisation and inventory.
