Overview

Rowlee is a celebration of cool-climate wine, seasonal produce, and relaxed yet refined hospitality — set on the picturesque grounds of our vineyard estate in Nashdale, NSW.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Venue Manager to lead front-of-house operations across our restaurant and events. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to shape a growing regional hospitality destination from the ground up.

You’ll join a small, professional team committed to delivering warm, elegant and memorable service — whether for a long lunch, an intimate dinner, or a premium wedding.

Responsibilities

• Dining room operations and front-of-house service for Rowlee Dining & Bar (Thursday–Sunday)
• Reservations and guest communication through Sevenrooms
• POS and floor operations using Lightspeed
• Coordination and training of front-of-house staff and casual team members
• Close collaboration with Head Chef, Venue Manager and Events Coordinator
• Private dining, weddings and seasonal events on the estate
• Upholding standards of service, cleanliness and compliance

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality setting
• A genuine passion for hospitality, wine and guest connection
• A calm, positive and organized leadership style
• The ability to create relationships with Rowlee members
• Strong communication, problem-solving and service skills
• Knowledge of or interest in wine, ideally with WSET training or equivalent
• RSA certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Availability across Thursday to Sunday, including weddings and key events
