Job summary

Ambition Group in Sydney is seeking a Solutions Design Engineer to scope, design and architect solutions across cloud, infrastructure, voice and networks. You will partner with sales, operations and delivery teams through the full lifecycle, from discovery to onboarding and ongoing management.

Responsibilities include client-facing discovery, infrastructure reviews and assisting with technical questions during the sales cycle. Hybrid work with Sydney office locations is available.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, servers, M365 and security best practices (Essential Eight).

Solutions Design Engineer Sydney (work from home options available) - multiple office locations Salary + super + paid training & development

We are partnered with a nationally recognised, MSP that is looking for a Solutions Design Engineer to support their business and client growth. This is a business that partners closely with its clients to design, deliver and continuously improve their technology environments.

As a Solutions Design Engineer, you will be responsible for scoping, designing and architecting solutions across cloud, infrastructure, voice, and networks. Working alongside another Solutions Consultant, you'll sit centrally within the business, engaging with sales, operations, project delivery and leadership across the full solution lifecycle - from initial client assessments through to onboarding and ongoing environment management.

Responsibilities include:

• Scoping and designing/architecting solutions across cloud, infrastructure, voice, and networks
• Participating in client-facing meetings, including initial discovery, assessments and infrastructure reviews
• Supporting the later stages of the sales cycle by assisting with technical questions
• Overseeing client onboarding when needed
• Reviewing existing solutions delivered to clients and proactively suggesting initiatives and improvements
• Overseeing client environments on an ongoing basis
• Delivering AI enablement sessions to clients
• Working closely with operations, project delivery, sales and leadership as a central point of technical expertise
• Applying critical thinking and creative problem-solving to solution design

Experience needed:

• Experience within an MSP environment, with some exposure to pre-sales
• Prior experience delivering project work, having seen solutions through from design to delivery
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, servers, M365 and security best practices (including frameworks such as Essential Eight)
• Strong critical thinking and the ability to think outside the box
• Pride in your work and attention to detail
• Ambition to progress into a dedicated pre-sales career
