Job summary

Smile IT in Tingalpa, Brisbane, seeks a Solutions Architect to design and oversee scalable, secure technology solutions for clients, on a full-time basis. You will build strategic relationships with vendors and help keep Smile IT at the forefront of emerging tech.

The role involves advising on infrastructure, cloud, applications, hardware and licensing, providing pre-sales support, and maintaining standards and ISO compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong technical understanding of cloud platforms, networking and enterprise systems.
• Experience in hardware procurement, vendor management and quoting tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Highly organised and detail-focused, with an understanding of technical compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Design fit-for-purpose technology solutions based on client environments, business requirements and future needs.
• Develop and recommend solutions across infrastructure, cloud, applications, hardware, software and licensing.
• Provide technical advice and pre-sales support to clients, clearly communicating solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prepare hardware and software recommendations and quotes, working with vendors and distributors to achieve competitive pricing and timely delivery.
• Maintain technology standards, documentation and compliance with Smile IT policies and applicable ISO standards.
• Provide technical escalation support while supporting broader team projects and priorities as required.

About the Role:

As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable, secure and commercially viable technology solutions for existing and new clients.

You will play a key role keeping Smile IT at the forefront of emerging technology by building strong, strategic relationships with leading software and hardware vendors and distributors.
