Job summary

Civiltest Pty is seeking Soil Technicians to join our Albury branch, with roles in both laboratory and field environments. Full training will be provided and there are opportunities for career development.

You will conduct a range of soil tests, record results, calibrate equipment and work safely with project teams on infrastructure and mining projects. Entry-level applicants are welcome; a current driver’s licence is required and knowledge of Australian Standards is helpful.

Qualifications

• A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate results.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A current driver's licence.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and geotechnical testing procedures is advantageous.
• Certificate III or IV in Laboratory Techniques or related qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of laboratory and field soil tests, including moisture content, density, particle size distribution and Atterberg limits.
• Prepare, test and record samples in accordance with Australian Standards and company procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory and field equipment.
• Accurately record and report test results.
• Work safely in accordance with company policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, project managers and clients to deliver high-quality testing services.

Working across both laboratory and field environments, you will undertake a range of soil testing to support infrastructure and construction projects. Full training will be provided for the right candidate, with ongoing opportunities for career development and progression.
