Job summary

Soil Surveys Engineering is seeking an experienced laboratory professional to lead our Gold Coast Helensvale laboratory. This full-time role focuses on field and laboratory testing within a NATA-accredited geotechnical environment.

Ideal candidates will bring 1–2 years in a NATA lab, knowledge of AS1289 tests, and a current or pending soil moisture density gauge license. A valid Class C license and ability to work unsupervised are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a NATA accredited geotechnical testing laboratory.
• Competent in performing basic AS1289 tests.
• Preferred: hold a current QLD soil moisture density gauge user license.
• Preferred: minimum 1 year field experience using a soil moisture density gauge.
• Must hold a Class C drivers license (or equivalent).
• Able to work unsupervised.

Job description

Soil Surveys Engineering is an established geotechnical engineering consultancy providing geotechnical investigations, drilling and construction materials testing services throughout South East Queensland.

We operate a NATA-accredited Geotechnical testing laboratory and are seeking an experienced laboratory professional to take a leading role in our Gold Coast laboratory.

We have a hands on, full time position based at our Helensvale Lab, available for an experienced field/laboratory technician,

Strong considerations will be given to the following experience and/or qualifications:

• 1-2 years experience working in a NATA accredited geotechnical testing laboratory
• Competent in performing basic AS1289 tests
• Hold a current QLD soil moisture density gauge user license (Preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the field using a soil moisture density gauge (Preferred)
• Hold a class C drivers license (or equivalent)
• Be able to work unsupervised
