Job summary

Butler Partners in Rockhampton is recruiting entry level and experienced technicians for Construction Materials Testing. The role involves assisting in soil preparation, basic laboratory testing, and field sampling under supervision.

We offer on‑the‑job training and exposure to a range of projects across our geotechnical and materials testing scope. Candidates should be physically fit, hold a Construction White Card, and be willing to travel and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Pass drug and alcohol screening.
• Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Physically fit—able to lift heavy loads repeatedly.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in soil preparation practices, basic laboratory testing, field sampling in a timely manner.
• Help prepare samples for processing and laboratory testing.
• Work and communicate in a team environment.
• Ensure an excellent quality of standards is always maintained.
• Undergo training where necessary (internal and external).
• Work in accordance with quality, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
