Job summary

Butler Partners invites both entry level and experienced technicians to join our Kunda Park office in the Construction Materials Testing sector. You will learn and contribute from day one in a safety‑driven environment.

Under supervision, you will assist in soil, concrete and aggregate sampling and laboratory testing, with on‑the‑job training and access to external courses. Career growth is available across testing roles with progression into senior positions, supported by a structured training

Qualifications

• Pass drug & alcohol screening.
• Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Physically fit—able to lift heavy loads repeatedly.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in soil preparation practices, basic laboratory testing, field sampling in a timely manner.
• Help prepare samples for processing and laboratory testing.
• Work and communicate in a team environment.
• Ensure an excellent quality of standards is always maintained.
• Undergo training where necessary (internal and external).
• Work in accordance with quality, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure that the laboratory work areas are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
