Job summary

Kinexus is seeking a Software Support Specialist for a Defence Communications product, based in Canberra and on-site for a permanent role. The position requires an active NV2 security clearance and responsibility for L2/L3 technical support within a containerised environment on client sites.

You will become the technical SME, manage Defence customer relationships, support testing and upgrades, and collaborate with the product engineering team to resolve issues and improvements.

Qualifications

• NV2 security clearance (active or reinstatable) is required.
• At least 3 years in application or software support in a Defence environment.
• Knowledge of radio frequency (RF) is highly appreciated.
• Experience dealing with Defence uniformed and public servant stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the SME and master user for a specialised communications/RF product.
• Resolve L2/L3 issues and coordinate with product engineering for L4.
• Support software testing and upgrade rollouts.
• Write, maintain and update technical support documentation.

Kinexus is a specialist defence and national security recruitment agency with over 25 years of working and specialising in the industry. We have a long-term partnership with a small to medium sized business that builds, implements and manages specialised communications products in critical industries, such as defence.

Our client is looking for a Software Support Specialist who can become the technical SME for their product, which has been recently implemented into the Defence Secret Network within a containerised environment. You will be providing L2 and L3 technical support for the product on client sites, managing Defence customer relationships, and supporting in further improvements and upgrades with the product.

In This Role You Will

• Be the SME and master user for a specialised communications/RF product, knowing all the 'ins and outs' of the product.
• Resolve L2/L3 technical issues relating to the software and management of L4 issues with the product engineering team.
• Support software testing and software upgrade rollouts.
• Write, maintain and update technical support documentation.
• Manage Defence relationships, being the face of the business on-site with the Defence customer.

What's Needed From You

• You must have a NV2 security clearance active or reinstatable to be considered for this position.
• At least 3 years of experience in application or software support working in a Defence environment.
• Knowledge in radio frequency (RF) is highly appreciated.
• Experience dealing directly with Defence uniformed and public servant stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
