Kinexus is recruiting a Software Support Specialist to act as the technical SME for a containerised product recently deployed into the Defence Secret Network. Based in Canberra, you will provide L2 and L3 support on client sites and liaise with Defence customers to drive improvements and upgrades.

You will be the face of Kinexus on-site, manage Defence relationships and deliver clear technical documentation, while coordinating with product engineering on complex issues and testing activities.

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years of software support in Defence.
• NV2 clearance required.
• RF knowledge advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Defence stakeholders.

Software Support Specialist - Defence Communications Specialist Business

Permanent position - salary between $120k and $140k base
Canberra based position - full time on site
Active NV2 security clearance required - applicants without this cannot be considered

Kinexus is a specialist defence and national security recruitment agency with over 25 years of working and specialising in the industry. We have a long-term partnership with a small to medium sized business that builds, implements and manages specialised communications products in critical industries, such as defence.

Our client is looking for a Software Support Specialist who can become the technical SME for their product, which has been recently implemented into the Defence Secret Network within a containerised environment. You will be providing L2 and L3 technical support for the product on client sites, managing Defence customer relationships, and supporting in further improvements and upgrades with the product.

In this role you will:

• Be the SME and master user for a specialised communications/RF product, knowing all the 'ins and outs' of the product.
• Resolve L2/L3 technical issues relating to the software and management of L4 issues with the product engineering team.
• Support software testing and software upgrade rollouts.
• Write, maintain and update technical support documentation.
• Manage Defence relationships, being the face of the business on-site with the Defence customer.

What's needed from you:

• You must have a NV2 security clearance active or reinstatable to be considered for this position.
• At least 3 years of experience in application or software support working in a Defence environment.
• Knowledge in radio frequency (RF) is highly appreciated.
• Experience dealing directly with Defence uniformed and public servant stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
