Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Software Lab Manager to own the AIR6500 Software Integration Lab and its facilities in Adelaide. You will work with the Software Integration Lab team to ensure the lab is available, stable, secure and fit for purpose, supporting critical software integration and test activities.

This hands-on role spans Linux, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, configuration management, automation and infrastructure sustainment.

Qualifications

Proven Linux systems administration in a lab/production environment.
Hands-on Kubernetes experience and containerised environments.
Practical DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code and configuration management (Ansible).
Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
Strong background in systems support, infrastructure sustainment or operational reliability.
Experience managing shared computing environments: performance, storage, accounts, recovery.

Responsibilities

Own lab governance and scheduling – bookings, drops, release gates and priorities.
Maintain lab operations – accounts, software, storage, docs, performance and backups.
Drive reliability – monitor uptime, diagnose failures, move to proactive sustainment.
Automate recovery – maintain Ansible playbooks for self-service VM resets.
Control configuration – audit against baselines; ensure changes are authorised.
