Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Software Engineer for the Starlink Supercomputer Network. You will work on the Linux-based OS underpinning our laser mesh and network fabric, writing drivers and tools to maximize hardware performance.

You will deploy, operate, and debug the platform in production, collaborating with hardware teams to bootstrap OS on new hardware while focusing on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on system programming experience in C or C++.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the lean, high-reliability Linux-based OS for the supercomputer network fabric.
• Write (or rewrite) high-performance device drivers for network and compute hardware.
• Manage deployment, operation, and debugging of the platform in production with reliability improvements.
• Develop and improve observability and configuration-management tools.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to bring up OS on new hardware.
