Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation and Test Engineer for Starlink in Redmond, WA. Design, build and validate test platforms that validate Starlink software across hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HITL) and virtualized environments.

You will analyze results, troubleshoot hardware/software, and collaborate with developers to create reliable, fast test systems. Opportunity to own critical test infrastructure and contribute to Starlink testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM or 3+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Development experience in C, C++, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and build test platforms to validate Starlink software.
• Develop software for test execution across HITL, HIL, and virtualized simulations.
• Invent tools for frequent and reliable software deployment and data analysis.
• Analyze test results and identify complex bugs with cross‑functional teams.
• Work closely with developers to provide a reliable and easy‑to‑use test platform.
• Hands‑on integration and troubleshooting of Starlink hardware/software.
• Identify improvements for test systems and create innovative solutions.
