Job summary

Australian Payments Plus Limited is seeking a Software Engineer for the ConnectID team to design, build and maintain secure, scalable software powering our identity verification infrastructure. You’ll work across the full software development lifecycle using Java, Spring Boot and React, with deployments on AWS.

You’ll collaborate with product, architecture and security teams, apply modern engineering practices and contribute to automated testing, CI/CD and AI-assisted tooling to improve delivery

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience using one or more modern programming languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining software components and APIs, with an understanding of software design principles.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing practices, with practical experience writing and maintaining automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, document and maintain software components and APIs that meet business and customer needs, applying agreed architecture, design patterns and security standards.
• Work with Product and other stakeholders to define and clarify requirements, then design, build and test software solutions that meet them.
• Collaborate with architecture, Security and QA to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.
