Job summary

Australian Payments Plus Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale secure software powering Australia's payments infrastructure. You will work across the full SDLC, influence technical direction, and champion modern practices including Agentic-AI tools to boost productivity and code quality.

You will collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security and Operations teams, mentor engineers, and help shape AP+'s engineering capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 1Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience delivering complex software solutions in a senior role.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and cloud-native apps.
• Secure software engineering practices and OWASP awareness.
• Experience with Agentic AI enabled tools for development.
• Strong design and architectural evaluation skills.
• Collaborative with Product, Architecture and QA teams.
• Hands-on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IaC experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable software components and APIs.
• Lead development of complex software systems and distributed services.
• Promote clean architecture and secure coding practices.
• Improve delivery through CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native approaches.
