Job summary

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) is seeking a Social Media Officer to create, schedule and maintain engaging content across RACGP social channels. You will report to the Public Affairs Manager and collaborate with teams across RACGP to support campaigns and a consistent social media presence.

As part of your responsibilities, you will monitor channels, support online GP communities, track performance and stay ahead of trends, providing insights to improve engagement

• Sound judgement and confident communication.
• Social media analytics and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor social channels, enquiries and online conversations, escalating sensitive or reputational issues when required.
• Support RACGP teams managing online GP communities, including Facebook and WhatsApp groups.
• Track social media performance and campaign results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Stay across platform changes, emerging trends and social media best practice, sharing relevant insights with the team.
