Job summary

Opal HealthCare in Sydney's Neutral Bay area is seeking a passionate Social Activities Coordinator to join our Lansdowne Gardens community. You will design, plan, and run a diverse calendar of resident-focused events, outings, and social activities that enrich daily life for our residents.

Collaborating with the Wellbeing Manager and care team, you will tailor experiences to residents' interests, build community, and foster joy. A background in aged care activity roles is essential.

• Aged care activity role experience is essential.
• A relevant qualification in event management, lifestyle, or community services is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and teams.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Support in designing, planning, and executing a diverse calendar of engaging social events, activities, and bus outings.

What You'll Need:

• A passion for event planning, social activities, or community work (aged care experience essential).
• Creativity, infectious enthusiasm, and outstanding organisational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills and a genuine love for working with people.
• A proactive and empathetic nature with the ability to engage residents of all interests and abilities.
• A relevant qualification in event management, lifestyle, or community services.
