Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking a passionate Social Activities Coordinator for Lansdowne Gardens on Wycombe, Neutral Bay, Sydney. You will design, plan and run engaging social events and bus outings for residents, building a vibrant community and enriching their daily lives.

You will collaborate with the Wellbeing Manager and care team to tailor activities to residents' interests and abilities, fostering connection and joy within our aged care community.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and delivering social activities for residents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families.
• Ability to tailor activities to diverse resident interests and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a calendar of social events and outings.

What You'll Do

• Support in designing, planning, and executing a diverse calendar of engaging social events, activities, and bus outings.
• Work closely with residents to understand their interests and tailor activities to bring them joy
• Create a vibrant community atmosphere where residents can connect, socialise, and thrive.
• Collaborate with the Wellbeing Manager and care team to ensure activities support residents' overall wellbeing.
• Build relationships with volunteers and local community groups to enhance our activity offerings.

What You'll Need:

• A passion for event planning, social activities, or community work (aged care experience essential).
• Creativity, infectious enthusiasm, and outstanding organisational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills and a genuine love for working with people.
• A proactive and empathetic nature with the ability to engage residents of all interests and abilities.
• A relevant qualification in event management, lifestyle, or community services.
