Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking proactive SMP Project Engineers to support structural, mechanical, and piping construction works for the gallium production plant project. The role focuses on providing technical support to the engineering team, ensuring compliance with standards, drawings, quality, and project objectives.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Structural, Mechanical or Piping engineering.
• Proficient knowledge in MS Office suites.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with client representatives and internal stakeholders regarding technical queries, inspections and project scheduling.
• Inspect works during construction to ensure quality control and conformance with drawings and specifications.
• Monitor procurement of materials and consumables for the project scope to keep works progressing to schedule.
• Review, create, issue and follow up RFIs and TQs.
• Resolve technical issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure hold point requirements are met before proceeding with works.
• Oversee subcontractors’ performance.
• Prepare construction work packs and material requisitions.
• Maintain project files and registers.
• Attend operations meetings and issue weekly/monthly reports.
