Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced SMP Project Engineer to join our Engineering Construction division on a major energy infrastructure project in regional Queensland. Located in Chinchilla, this 2:1 roster role offers a chance to work with a seasoned project team delivering SMP construction activities across mechanical, piping and structural scopes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering.
  • Experience delivering SMP construction projects within the energy, resources, mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of SMP construction methodologies, engineering interfaces and QA/QC processes.
  • Experience with construction documentation including work packs, ITPs, RFIs, technical queries and engineering deliverables.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of project cost, schedule and change management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and relevant project management systems.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Current Australian driver's licence.
  • Willingness to work a 2:1 roster.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination and delivery of SMP construction activities to achieve project objectives.
  • Coordinate engineering and construction interfaces to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and manage construction documentation including work packs, technical queries, RFIs, ITPs and quality documentation.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, material requirements and subcontractor interfaces.
  • Monitor project progress and assist with planning, scheduling, forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Review engineering deliverables and ensure construction activities are aligned with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Liaise with construction teams, project personnel, client representatives, subcontractors and other key stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
  • Assist with identifying and resolving technical, construction and project issues.
  • Support project cost control, change management and commercial reporting activities.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements and Monadelphous standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project engineering and construction delivery.

Monadelphous is continuing to grow, and we're looking for an experienced SMP Project Engineer to join our Engineering Construction division on a major energy infrastructure project in regional Queensland.

Located in Chinchilla, Queensland, this is a 2:1 roster role and an excellent opportunity to join an experienced project team delivering structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) construction works for a major energy company.

Working closely with the project, engineering and construction teams, you'll play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of SMP works, supporting the successful execution of a major energy infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Bring
