Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Engineering Construction division on a major SMP project for a leading BHP operation in Port Hedland. This FIFO 2:1 role reports to the Project Manager and provides technical leadership to engineering and site teams to deliver safe, high‑quality outcomes across construction phases.

Key responsibilities include planning SMP construction, managing documentation and interfaces, coordinating procurement and subcontractors,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering.
• 8+ years' experience delivering SMP construction projects in mining/resources/heavy industrial.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and multidisciplinary construction activities.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, QA/QC, project controls and docs.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management with client relationships.
• Current Australian working rights; willing to FIFO 2:1 to Port Hedland.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and execution of SMP construction activities to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule goals.
• Manage construction work packs, technical deliverables, and project interfaces.
• Coordinate procurement, material management, subcontractors and site resources.

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Engineering Construction division on a major SMP construction project for a leading BHP operation in Port Hedland. Working on a FIFO 2:1 roster, you will play a key leadership role in the planning, coordination and successful delivery of structural, mechanical and piping works. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide technical leadership to engineering and site teams while driving safe, efficient and high-quality project outcomes across all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination and execution of SMP construction activities to achieve project safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
• Manage construction work packs, technical documentation, engineering deliverables and project interfaces to support successful project execution.
• Coordinate procurement, material management, subcontractors and site resources to ensure efficient construction delivery.
• Monitor project progress, productivity and budget performance, identifying risks and implementing practical solutions to maintain project outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Project Engineers and site engineering personnel while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives, supervisors and key project stakeholders.
• Promote and maintain safe work practices while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality systems, Australian Standards and client requirements.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience delivering SMP construction projects within the mining, resources or heavy industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities on large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, QA/QC processes, project controls and construction documentation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong client and team relationships.
• Current Australian working rights and willingness to work FIFO on a 2:1 roster to Port Hedland.
