Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major power station project in Queensland. This high-profile role oversees engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, reporting to the Project Director.

You will provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams, manage safety, schedule, budget and quality, and engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering large-scale energy or industrial projects.
• Proven track record managing capital projects worth $200M+.
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• PMP, AIPM CPPD, or equivalent certification highly regarded.

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major power station project in Queensland. This is a high-profile role responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major power generation project, ensuring alignment with project objectives, schedule, and budget.
• Develop and execute project delivery strategies, plans, and governance frameworks.
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• Drive project controls including schedule management, cost forecasting, risk management, and reporting.
• Oversee the administration and performance of EPC, construction, and service contracts.
• Manage commercial outcomes, including budget control, variations, claims, and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with clients, regulators, government authorities, contractors, and local communities.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while implementing effective corrective actions where required.
• Prepare and present project updates to executive leadership and governance committees.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all project activities are delivered in accordance with HSE standards.
• Support commissioning and operational readiness activities to achieve successful project completion.

What you’ll bring:

• Minimum 10 years' experience delivering large-scale energy, power generation, O&G, infrastructure, mining, or heavy industrial projects.
• Proven track record managing major capital projects valued at $200M+.
• Extensive experience working within EPC and large-scale construction environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated contract management and negotiation expertise.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams across complex project environments.
• Advanced knowledge of project controls, risk management, scheduling, and cost management principles.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong understanding of Australian safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver successful outcomes in high-pressure project environments.
• PMP, AIPM CPPD, or equivalent project management certification will be highly regarded.
• Previous experience delivering power station, renewable energy, thermal generation, gas-fired, or major industrial projects is highly desirable.
• Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
