Job summary

Clough Limited is delivering the Woodman Point Sludge Treatment upgrade in Henderson, WA, within an EPC framework with Wood/Water Corporation partners. The role leads on-site SMP mechanical activities, ensures safety, quality and schedule compliance, and interfaces with subcontractors.

We seek an experienced SMP Supervisor with EPC or heavy-industry background, strong leadership, and the ability to read SMP drawings and P&IDs while maintaining project standards and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an SMP Supervisor, preferably with an EPC contractor in heavy industry.
• Demonstrated hydro testing experience.
• Excellent communication, people management and leadership skills.
• Experience working under Permit to Work systems/conditions.
• Able to read SMP drawings and P&ID’s.
• Able to understand Scope of Works documentation.
• Read and understand relevant technical specifications.
• Competent in risk assessment reviews and approvals.
• Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence; Construction White Card.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a plan for early SMP mechanical activities aligned with project schedule.
• Manage, inspect and interface with subcontractors.
• Support site temporary power requirements and installations.
• Prepare manning and tooling for self-performed SMP mechanical works.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Ensure all SMP mechanical work complies with codes, safety and project specs.
• Address issues or defects promptly and effectively.
• Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance skills.
