Thomas Foods International Stawell is currently offering multiple roles of full-time Skilled Meat Workers (Slaughterers/Boners/Slicers) at the Meat Processing Plant located in 46 Abattoir Rd, Stawell VIC. Depending on your previous experience and skill set, you could find yourself in any of the following roles.
Key responsibilities
Slaughtering tasks across the production floor such as y-cut, air knives, pelting shoulder pull, skin removal, gutting, and evisceration
Breaking carcasses into primal cuts or meat products according to specifications
Debone parts of carcasses into primal cuts or meat products according to specifications
Boning of forequarters, loins, hindquarters etc.
Slicer(s):
Trimming and slicing primal cuts or meat products according to specifications
Prepare primal cuts for packaging
Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in the meat industry
Be able to be positively assessed by a MINTRAC registered assessor as meeting the minimum skill level commensurate with an AQF Certificate III
Physically fit, disciplined, agile and a team player within a dynamic environment
Maintain high hygiene standards throughout all processes
Follow all OH&S procedures and policies
Knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene requirements will be an added advantage
A keen attitude to work, reliability and flexibility
Possess working rights in Australia
As a full-time, permanent employee, you will work 40 hours per week. Overtime & weekend work maybe required depending on production requirements. Annual base salary up to $70,000 - $85,000 + 12% superannuation.
