Thomas Foods International Stawell is seeking Skilled Meat Workers (Slaughterers/Boners/Slicers) to join the Meat Processing Plant at 46 Abattoir Rd, Stawell VIC. Full-time, permanent roles with a clear career path in a safe, supportive environment.

Roles include slaughtering, deboning, breaking down carcasses and slicing primal cuts. 40 hours per week with overtime; base salary up to $70,000-$85,000 plus 12% superannuation, with MINTRAC AQF III assessor eligibility and strong hygiene focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in the meat industry.
• Be assessed as meeting minimum skill level per MINTRAC registered assessor (AQF Certificate III).
• Physically fit, disciplined, agile and a team player in a dynamic environment.
• Maintain high hygiene standards and follow OH&S procedures.

Responsibilities

• Slaughtering tasks across the production floor (y-cut, air knives, pelting shoulder pull, skin removal, gutting, evisceration).
• Break carcasses into primal cuts or meat products per specifications.
• Debone parts of carcasses into primal cuts per specifications.
• Boning of forequarters, loins, hindquarters, etc.
• Slicer duties: trimming and slicing primal cuts or meat products per specifications.
• Prepare primal cuts for packaging.
